Nowadays crystal chandeliers are offered in various designs and shapes. However, modern chandeliers are regularly lacking the charming appearance of the antique originals. Because of that I initiated a limited number of 1:1 copies of a classic crystal chandelier applying all the traditional techniques of the early 19th century craftsmenship.

The glass material was reproduced according to the antique specification and, thereafter, the raw crystals were individually handcut and polished. Thus, the characteristic erratic light refraction of the antique originals was achieved. Similarly the metal parts were casted in the ancient “lost wax” method and then hand chiselled. With these specific features the reproduction perfectly recaptures the aesthetical appearance of the antique original.

To serve modern light requirements an electric light fitting was placed inside the chandelier. This modern attachment can (if desired) easily be removed from the chandelier.

The international market offers a wide range of crystal-chandeliers. There is, however, not a single offer that is a genuine reproduction which exactly follows an antique original in both, in the use of the traditional materials and in the application of the traditional craftsmenship in its production.

The chandelier is 114 cm (45 inch) high, has a diameter of 74 cm (29 inch) and weights 14 kg (31 lbs).

All chandeliers have the same set of crystal fittings. The surface treatment of the metal-body is is offered in four versions.
